Haihaisoft release the new version of Media DRM 2.0.2

 

May 11, 2006,  Haihaisoft release the new version of Media DRM 2.0.2. The new version has the following components:

Haihaisoft Media DRM Packager
DRM License Server
DRM Online Control Panel
The new Media DRM 2.0.2 supported rights:

Rights for Licenses:

1. Begin Date. This right specifies a date after which the license is valid. Before this date, the Windows Media file cannot be played.
2. Expiration Date. This right specifies a date after which the license is no longer valid and the Windows Media file can no longer be played. For example, you can set a license to expire on December 31, 2004.
3. Expiration after First Use. This right specifies the length of time (in hours) a license is valid after the first time the license is used. For example, you can set a license to expire 24 hours after a consumer begins to play the Windows Media file.
4. Expiration on Store. This right specifies the length of time (in hours) a license is valid after the first time the license is stored on the consumer's computer. For example, you can set a license to expire 72 hours after it is stored.


Rights for Digital Media Files:

1. Allow Play On PC. This right allows the consumer to play the Windows Media file on a computer.
2. Allow Play On PC. This right allows the consumer to play the Windows Media file on a computer.
3. Allow Burn To CD. This right allows the consumer to copy a Windows Media file to a CD in the Red Book audio format. For example, a consumer can copy music to CDs so that she can listen to music on her car stereo.
4. Burn to CD Count. This right specifies the number of times the consumer is allowed to copy a Windows Media file to a CD.
5. Allow Backup Restore. This right allows the consumer to manage licenses by backing up and restoring them. Consumers can restore licenses to the same computer (such as when a consumer reformats a computer) or to different computers (such as a work computer and a home computer).


Rights for Transfer:

1. AllowTransferToNonSDMI. This right allows the consumer to transfer the Windows Media file to a non-SDMI-compliant portable device or portable media.
2. AllowTransferToSDMI. This right allows the consumer to transfer the Windows Media file to an SDMI-compliant portable device or portable media.
3. TransferCount. This right specifies the number of times a consumer can transfer a Windows Media file to portable devices and portable media.
4. PMRights. This right specifies the rights you want to give in portable licenses.
5. PMExpirationDate. This right specifies a date when a portable license expires.
